The Coronado Butterfly Preserve is located on the rim of the Ellwood Mesa. It offers a eucalyptus grove where several months of the year the trees are dripping with large clusters of Monarch Butterflies. The public can view these beautiful creatures by walking the pathways to the trees starting in November each year.
